Thames Valley Air Ambulance
by Jason Lelliott

The running gear is Graupner Heim Expert 2000 and so is the body, it has a 40 degrees gear box in the boom for the raised tail rotor and a 60 size special os engine with extended shaft.

The main shaft is tilted or offset pitched forward and pitched slightly to one side to counter act the torque so as to make the helis body appear to hang level. The real one is the same!

The body was painted by my dad who paints cars for a living and all the decals etc were scaled by me which took a day and then i approached A to Z signs and they made the stickers up on there computer cad system , very impressive if anyone is intrested only £20!!

All the radio gear inside is futaba apart from the gyro which is a CSM200 HL

It took about six months to put it all together and im very pleased with the outcome and so are Thames Valley Air Ambulance who would like to use it for their charity days,i also met and had a cup of coffee with the president of the TVAA, Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds) etc.
